The V36 PIKO locomotive adds another outstandingly versatile engine to the G-Scale enthusiast. The V36 can be used to haul short passenger or freight trains and as a companion to the BR 64 steam engine with which it shared exclusive train and switching duties on many DB branch lines. All three axles are powered. The jackshaft located between second and third axle with its rotating balance weight is a distinctive feature of the locomotive. The model replicates the many louvers and vents and arer typical for the prototype. It is fitted with free standing grab irons and directional lighting. The V36 is prepared for digital operation and can be fitted with the rich diesel sound that makes these light-footed switchers easy to identify.
For prototypical sound use the PIKO sound kit 36224 in conjunction with PIKO loco decoder 36122.
