100 Ton 3-Bay Coal Hoppers have been a common sight on North American railroads since the 1960's and 70's. Thousands of these cars where built for dozens of railroads. Many have transferred ownership between railroads in the decades of their service. Originally built for coal service, these cars have since found use in other services. 100 Ton 3-Bay Hoppers can be found in sand, stone, and other aggregate services as well as scrap metal services. With a multitude of possible uses, the 100 Ton Coal Hopper is sure to be useful on any Large Scale Railroad.
The Aristo-Craft 100 Ton 3-Bay Coal Hopper has many new features not commonly seen in Large Scale Trains. Among them is the modern 100 ton roller bearing caps with rotating bearing caps. This car is finely detailed yet still rugged enough to operate and run on your outdoor layout. It has wire grab irons, separate handrails and brake wheel and opening hopper bay doors. When possible, each road name will have 4 road numbers for each production run. The 100 Ton 3-Bay Coal Hopper is among the most accurate cars ever produced for Large Scale Trains.
